I started McKenna's album right when she was born. I have done really great on keeping up with each year, but always find pictures that I had wished I scrapbooked so I always backtrack to add to year one or year two. I need to do some catching up for her 3rd year album. I decided to design her albums as a journal/scrapbook. I write a note to her on each page so she can really know what our life was like at each point that page was done. I hope she loves it later in life! I still love looking through each of albums.
This page below is one of my faves. That girl will play in the dirt forever if we had the time. I am not a digital scrapbooker for anyone who might be wondering
I am very much a lover of textiles. I have to touch and feel all the paper/embellishments I use on a page. I also love the depth of traditional scrapbooking. Don't get me wrong, I would love to learn how to digital scrapbook one day. I just need to sit down and teach myself.
This was our second Easter in Washington. Love this jean jacket! She still wears it all the time
{Thanks Boots for that gift}
My fave for many reasons. The day our girl was born and the first bonding moment between the daddy and daughter team. They are so close today! I love it! Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside looking at this one.
This picture was a self-hold-out-the-camera-with-one-arm picture. Those are alwasy fun! You know you do it too. This was taken when we were driving from Wisconsin to Washington in April of 2009. It wa s a big move and a big decision for us to make. It was a good decision.
More pictures from that trip and the journaling about the events that started this journey.
We love Washington and are so blessed with the amazing life, friends and new found family God has given us here.
That's awesome! I agree about the digital scrapbooking.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Shelley! Bright smiles will bring you and the whole Heck family joy for decades to come when looking back on such wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteYou have a serious talent Shelley and I love looking at your scrapbooks. If I made mine look as good as yours I would scrapbook my face off!! Um, what in the world is digital scrapbooking?
ReplyDeleteWow! Your the queen of this! Now I'm going to have to back back to mine and redo them. Very nicely put together.
